The National University Association of English Teachers, A.C. (ANUPI) was founded in 2002 by a group of university professors from different public and private universities in Mexico who sought to create a high-level professional development and academic research space in the field of English language teaching.
ANUPI is affiliated with TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, Inc.) and is recognized as an associate of IATEFL (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language).
Since its creation, the association has organized several international conferences, and its members have access to an exclusive members’ section.
Mission To promote the improvement of the quality of English language teaching as a Foreign Language. To foster the professionalization of teachers dedicated to this field and to promote and disseminate research in this area. 🎓 Objectives To strengthen the professionalization of English language teaching by establishing links among teachers and between public and private institutions in Mexico and abroad. To propose a professional profile that specifies the knowledge and certification requirements for teachers seeking international professional accreditation. To propose well-founded and consensual evaluation criteria regarding different levels of English language proficiency.
